The Diplomat Business Club has signed a letter of intent with United Nations Bahrain to work together towards promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals. Accordingly we commit to undertaking special initiatives aimed at supporting and assisting the United Nations globally to take forward their efforts to implement the Sustainable Development Agenda by engaging with the private sector, especially the business community. As we are aware hat on September 25th 2015, all countries and member states of the United Nations adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.
For the goals to be achieved everyone needs to play role, and the Diplomat Business Club would work with governments, the private sector, civil society and members of the Public to promote, support and propagate the following SDGs
The Diplomat Business Club strongly believes in working towards world peace and stability and would work with all individuals and organizations in line with the vision of the United Nations. We would play our humble role in supporting the United Nations in their efforts to maintain International peace and security and prevent war by creating opportunities that empower communities through education, employment and entrepreneurship. We believe that diplomacy plays a vital role in engaging with the communities and accordingly our efforts are aimed at bringing people together and promoting goodwill, friendship, tolerance and mutual respect for all cultures, faiths, genders and faiths.
It is widely acknowledged that economically stable societies have a much greater capacity for peace, therefore the business community and civil society have a crucial role promoting economic stability and development which can contribute towards promotion of world peace.
Although Diplomat Business Club was originally founded and incorporated in London, United Kingdom, we have evolved into a Global Network that brings people together from around the world. We welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures and faiths and have a growing network.
